It's slow progress on this new pair of pants. I was

originally beading the pocket vertically, but it

kept getting way out of alignment, so I unpicked it

all and started horizontally. It's slower, but it

definitely looks better. One of the many tangents I

went on while procrastinating on these pants is

customizing my phone screen. My grandpa gave me an

old iPhone 8 he wasn't using, so I decided to use it

as an MP3 player.

I found a bunch of cool images on Pinterest and

turned them into widgets. I used this app called

MDvinyl for the top left widget, and the rest are made

using an app called Widgy. It's a bit finnicky at

first, but you can make a lot of cool stuff with it

once you get the hang of it. I have the middle and

bottom right widget set so that the image changes

randomly, and the song title updates on the center

widget to match the song I'm playing. It took more work

than it probably should have, but it's really cool.

I'm gonna do something similar with my regular phone too, but with a different theme. I'm not 100% on the specifics, but I plan to go for a general "surreal, funky art" vibe. I really need to get out of this procrastination phase so I have more

actual stuff to show y'all... but anyway, bye for now!

While I slowly amass more RedBull tabs, I've started on a pair of pants. I'm going for a kinda radioactive apocalypse vibe. I've barely on them, but I like how they're coming along so far. I have a lot of concepts that I'd love to do, but I tend to get a bit stuck in my head about them. I guess I'm just worried that it's gonna turn out like shit and it will all be nothing but a waste of time. I know everyone has that to a degree, but I feel like it eats at me particularly hard. It's stopped me from so many things, though it's definitely gotten better recently. I've gotten into a "get with the jank" attitude when it comes to the things I make, and I feel like that mindset has actually made it all better. When you're not in your head as much, you're not as nitpicky about every small thing that went "wrong".

Anyway, this is just a small weekly update for y'all. I'm sorry it's not super eventful, but we gotta make due with what we have. Bye for now!

Look at this gorgeous vintage sewing machine I got at an estate sale! It was a bit funny, while we were looking around my dad told the

older couple running it "sorry for your loss," to

which they responded "Oh, nobody died. We're just

selling some stuff for some extra money before we

move back to The Philippines." Anyway, I got it for

$100, which isn't bad considering it came with

literally everything and was in pretty good

condition. It definitely needs a deep clean and a good

oiling before I can even try using it, though. I'm

trying to find someone in the area who specializes in

restoring this kind of stuff and is willing to do

pick up/delivery. The bobbin case is pretty gummed up

with dust and old thread, and I can't figure out how

to clean it myself.

Other than that, it's been much of the same. I got more beads for the shorts as well as a couple RedBulls to drink so I could finish the other pocket. Still need quite a few more, but there's slow and steady progress. I'll keep y'all posted. Bye for now!
